Now residing in Vancouver BC, Erica was born in the lovely city of Saskatoon Saskatchewan and lived there for the first 25 years of her life. Animation has always been a great love of hers, and she knew that she wanted to be a part of that magical industry from a young age. She took a number of art classes growing up, and won numerous awards in sculpture, painting and graphic design. After high school she went to a small traditional animation school for 2 and a half years where she studied hand drawn animation, storyboarding, layout and design. She then completed a certificate in Art and Design at the University of Saskatchewan taking classes in painting, sculpture, 2D design, life drawing, and digital media. Wanting to get back into animation, she found the online animation school Animation Mentor. She spent the next 2 1/2 years learning everything she could about character and creature animation from mentors actually working in the animation industry. She is currently working as an animator and spends her free time wrangling unicorns and putting faces on inanimate objects.
